Minnesota contains high concentrations of incredibly tough granite, basalt and other volcanic rock, which is ideal for construction projects in places with a severe freeze/thaw cycle. Northland owns several aggregate sources in the region, allowing us to extract, crush, screen, wash and provide millions of tons of material annually to support our construction operations. We also perform custom crushing and screening operations for many private clients. Supported by modern equipment and a highly-trained workforce, our aggregates team is dedicated to providing efficient and effective operations to deliver high-quality material for road bases, construction sites and asphalt production.
